You can make tax-free purchases if you meet the following criteria:
- Individuals with a "short-term stay" visa, staying in Japan for a period of fewer than six months.
- Individuals with a "diplomatic" or "official" visa.
- Non-residents with Japanese nationality who can provide original proof of having lived overseas for more than two years, such as a valid "residence certificate" or a "copy of the family register attachment." Additionally, the duration of their stay in Japan must be less than six months after entering the country.
Please present the necessary documents, including your passport, during the purchase. The displayed price at our store includes consumption tax, which will be reduced by 10% for tax-free sales. Since the tax exemption is applied at the time of purchase, there is no need for a refund at the airport.
Example: Store display price: 660,000 yen (including tax) ÷ 1.10 (10% off) = Tax-exempt price: 600,000 yen
